Senden
The municipality consisting of the parishes of Senden, Bösensell and Ottmarsbocholt has grown considerably during the past few years, thanks to its excellent transport connections and probably also to its proximity to the town of Münster; it commands an excellent infrastructure.
Situated in the midst of the park-like Münsterland countryside, surrounded by the waters of the river Stever and the Dortmuns-Ems Canal, Senden is a country town offering high residential and leisure value to its inhabitants. But guests feel good, too. An extensive network of routes and paths invites them to take hikes and strolls in the vicinity. A destination of particular interest is the "Venner Moor" marsh nature preserve with its rare wildlife and vegetation. Various attractive sports and leisure-time facilities are also available in Senden. Virtually all types of sport can be pursued in the new "Sportpark", the centre of which are the Leisure bath "Cabrio Senden - Das Bad" and the "Steverhalle", used for sports and cultural events.
